My wife and I recently purchased our first home in Grimsby, Ontario. Our ducts had not been cleaned in over 30 years and were filled with dust and debris. I immediately got the feeling that Mohawk Duct Cleaning was concerned about their clients, and not just looking to make a quick buck. After the job was finished, Ken contacted me to ensure the air quality was good and I was happy with the job.
2. Services
After speaking with several companies, I learned that many simply insert a vacuum system into your air ducts and let it run. Mohawk Duct Cleaning was different – When Ken first arrived he inserted a portable camera system into my air ducts and I could see for myself the dire need of cleaning. Ken then vacuumed the ducts and inserted the camera and I could see that there was still debris. Ken then used a custom designed brushing device which physically cleaned the entire duct system and then vacuumed again. After Ken was finished each duct, he would reinsert the camera system and they were spotless.
3. The Extra Mile
Ken is genuinely concerned about his customers. Our house was recently renovated and Ken took great care not to damage our new hardwood floors with any of his machinery. Also, Ken was able to see with his camera that we have television cables running through our air ducts. The brushing mechanism would have shredded our cables but, Ken took the extra time and care to ensure the duct was spotless and the cables were intact. Ken offered advice about allergies, provided me with two high quality furnace filters, and even threw in a free hypoallergenic dryer sheet which retails at $15.00. After the job was completed Ken stayed, free of charge, to discuss any other concerns.

When I bought my first home, I knew that it was an older building that had just been renovated. What I didn’t realize is that they had used my ducts as a dustbin. Ken spent a long and grueling day washing the grates, checking the filters and thoroughly cleaning my ducts. At each step he invited me to learn more about the process to see the condition. I was amazed! There was everything from toys to chunks of plaster in the ducts, not to mention the cobwebs.
